Web Design in Tupelo, Mississippi

Twenty years in this town, and most of my work is still here

The local picture

What’s actually different about a Tupelo website

I built my first sites in Lee County.

Most of the businesses I look after are still within twenty minutes of downtown Tupelo — Fast Wrapz, Quick Stitch, Rent-A-Box, Transport Trailer, Kirksey Brothers, Precision Machine. I know what a Tupelo customer looks like because I have been watching them use these sites for two decades.

It’s a trade town, and trade customers check you are real before they call.

Machine shops, trailer repair, embroidery, wraps — a lot of the business here is one business selling to another, and the person on the other end is checking three things: are you still open, do you do the specific thing I need, and can I reach somebody today. A site that buries the phone number or describes its services in vague marketing language loses that call to whoever was clearer.

Your customers are spread over a wide area.

Saltillo, Verona, Belden, Baldwyn, Shannon, Plantersville, New Albany, Pontotoc. Somebody deciding whether to make the drive into Tupelo needs to know it is worth the trip before they set off. Correct hours, a real address and a map that works on a phone do more for you here than another paragraph of copy.

Word of mouth is still how most work moves here — and your website is where it lands.

Somebody recommends you at church or at work. The very next thing that happens is that person looks you up on their phone. If what they find is a copyright line reading 2019 and a contact form that goes nowhere, the recommendation is wasted. That is the real job of a small-business website in this town: don’t lose the referral you already earned.

A lot of businesses here have a busy half of the year and a quiet one.

If your website says the same thing in January that it says in July, it is out of step with your own business half the time, and the places that keep up are catching that traffic instead.

How it works

One person builds it, hosts it and answers the phone

Not three companies pointing at each other. When something breaks on a Saturday night, I’m the one who fixes it, and I already know where everything is.

  • Built for phones firstBecause that’s where your customers are standing.
  • Hosted on my own hardwareWith a backup taken before anything gets changed.
  • Kept up to date every monthWordPress, plugins and security patches, without you thinking about it.
  • Set up properly for searchIncluding the structured information Google and the AI assistants read to answer questions about local businesses.
  • Forms that are testedAnd actually deliver. Which is not as common as it should be.
  • Your Google Business Profile sortedFor most local businesses it brings in more than the website does.

What it costs

WEBSITE, HOSTING & UPKEEP

$125 / month

No build fee. That covers building it, hosting it on my servers, keeping it updated and backed up, and the small changes you’ll want along the way.

WITH EMAIL AND EXTRAS

up to $300 / month

Business email on your own domain and the services that go with it, depending on what you actually need. Custom software and portal work is quoted separately.

Which means you aren’t writing a four-figure check before you’ve seen anything. You see the site, and then you decide.

No charge, no obligation

Have a look at your site with me

Call or text and I’ll tell you honestly what’s working on your website and what isn’t. If it’s fine, I’ll say so. If it isn’t, I’ll tell you what it would take to fix and what it would cost, and you can decide from there.
